On July 1^st, Kings Way Care Centre celebrated Canada Day 2009 with a summer BBQ and special music. Sylvia Campbell and friends, who provide kitchen parties on the Kingston Peninsula all summer, were with us to provide lots of singing, yodeling, and toe-tapping fiddle music. Everyone dressed in red and white, and lots of Canada Day tattoos, hats and balloons were in sight. Our residents enjoyed delicious BBQ chicken, as well as hamburgers, assorted salads, and strawberry shortcake. More than 30 family members and 12 volunteers joined us to make it a very special celebration.
